Peter Vincent Bisconti, Jr., 84

October 10, 1941 – December 8, 2025

It is with deep love and gratitude for his remarkable life that the family of Peter Vincent Bisconti, Jr. announces his passing at the age of 84. Peter is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, Kathleen Bisconti, who remained his steadfast partner throughout a lifetime filled with family, friendship, faith, and the game of golf.

Peter is also survived by his four siblings—Helen Bisconti, Peggy Monroe, Robert Bisconti, and Virginia Bisconti—as well as his children: Kathleen Patricia Chester, Peter Edward Bisconti, Gregory Rohan Bisconti, and his late son Edward James Bisconti (d. 2016). He leaves behind a cherished legacy in his grandchildren: James Chester, Joseph Chester, Juliana Chester, Kevin Nascimento, and Emily Skya, and joins in eternal rest his granddaughter Katherine Anne Chester (d. 1992).  Peter was also blessed to be a great-grandfather to Elaina Chester, who brought him great joy.

A proud graduate of the University of Notre Dame, Peter carried his Fighting Irish spirit with him throughout his life. Saturdays in the fall were often devoted to cheering on the Irish football team, a tradition he embraced with unwavering loyalty and joy.

Professionally, Peter devoted much of his life to golf administration, serving with distinction at both the LPGA and the Metropolitan Golf Association (MGA). A mentor to many who would go on to shape the world of golf tournament administration, he was known for his integrity, deep expertise, and unwavering commitment to the sport he loved.

As a golfer, Peter’s competitive spirit and exceptional talent left an indelible mark. A long-time member of Westchester Country Club, he achieved an extraordinary record: 15 Men’s Club Championships, 13 Hoffhine Team titles, and 5 Senior Men’s Championships, along with countless other honors earned over five decades. During his half-century at Westchester, Peter became a beloved presence: he mentored players both young and old, and later in life could often be found on the practice range, sharing his knowledge and helping countless golfers improve their game.

Beyond his impressive achievements, Peter will be remembered for his warmth, sharp wit, and dedication to his family. His presence lit up every room, and his love of the game was matched only by his love for the people around him.

Peter’s family will forever cherish his memory and celebrate a life truly well lived.
