Bader, Patricia Anne July 14, 1932 - July 27, 2024

Patricia Anne Bader (nee Keeler) of Bronxville, New York, passed away on July 27, 2024 at her home in Bronxville. Born and raised in White Plains, Pat was the oldest child of Francis Joseph Keeler and Laura Augusta (Cornwall) Keeler. A proud and loyal alumna of St. Bernard’s School, White Plains High School, Trinity College (’54), and Fordham University (Masters in Education ’55), she remained friends for life with many of her classmates. Pat met her husband, Al, while both were in college in Washington DC; they married June 27, 1959 in Valhalla, New York. After five years as a fifth-grade teacher, Pat retired in 1960 to raise her family of four boys. Pat was an active member of St. Joseph’s parish, the Womens’ Club and numerous other organizations.

Pat’s many interests included travel (especially to her beloved London), the theater, volunteering at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, needlepoint, and bookstores. She had an encyclopedic knowledge of British History, New York City, and mystery writers. A three-sport athlete in high school, Pat played tennis and bowled at the Larchmont Shore Club, where she was a member for more than fifty years. An avid sports fan, Pat’s favorite teams were the New York Yankees, the Dallas Cowboys, and whoever was playing Notre Dame.

Predeceased by her parents, her husband Al (1932-1992), her sister Elizabeth “Betty” Pollock (1938-2020), and her brother Frank Jr. (1937-1937), Pat is survived by her four sons, three daughters-in-law, and ten grandchildren: Albert, Chris (Michele, Christopher, Brendan, and Katherine), Tom (Janet, George, Laura, Peter, and Jack) and Paul (Rebecca, Matthew, Stephen, and William). She will be deeply missed by anyone who ever knew her. A memorial service will be held at the Fred H. McGrath Funeral Home in Bronxville on Saturday, August 3 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Pat’s name to the National Alliance on Mental Illness:donate.nami.org/fundraiser/5656945
