Geraldine (Geri) H. Thornton, longtime resident of Hartsdale, NY died peacefully surrounded by her family and care givers on February 27, 2017. Beloved wife of the late Edwin J. Thornton. Loving Mother of Linda (Don) Purgess, Chris, Kevin (Lisa) and John (Mary). Devoted grandmother of six and great grandmother of three. Dear sister of Margaret Lynch and the late Bea and Edward. Aunt of eight nephews. Geri was a graduate of the College of New Rochelle, Class of 1950. Our mother filled our lives with happiness, wisdom, love, and most of all kindness. Mass of Christian Burial at the Frances Schervier Chapel, Independence Ave. Riverdale, NY on Thursday, March 2 at 10 am.
