Ada Malfa Wray, a long -time resident of Bronxville NY, died peacefully on Thursday, September 8, 2016, in New York, NY. She was 73 years old. Ada was the daughter of the late John Malfa and Ada Toni Malfa of Hartsdale NY. She is predeceased by her loving husband, James Mullin. She is survived by a sister Johanna Malfa Krumm of South Nyack NY, a brother Frank Malfa (Susan) of Pleasantville NY, her God Daughter and niece Marlene Krumm-Sanders (Christopher Sanders) of Piermont NY, niece and nephew, Ana and Alex Malfa, and great-nephew Benjamin Sanders. Ada is also survived by many Malfa and Tonti cousins. She also leaves behind her cherished friends at Starbucks, St. Joseph’s and the Focolare Movement. Ada was privileged to be a member of the first graduating classes of Maria Regina High School, Hartsdale NY and Mercy College, Dobbs Ferry, where she earned a BA. She started her career as an associate editor at the Readers Digest, Chappaqua NY and later became a social worker for Westchester County Social Services from where she retired. Calling hours at the Fred H. McGrath & Son, Funeral Home on Thursday, September 15, 2016, 2:00: pm-4:00pm, 7:00 pm-9:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, 9:45 am at Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Bronxville NY. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to New York Botanical Gardens, Bronx NY. Interment at the Rosewood Mausoleum at the Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale, NY.
