Evelyn R. Michels of Tuckahoe, NY, died very peacefully on October 15, 2015, after a long and fulfilling life. She was a woman of deep faith, an award-winning artist, avid traveler, enthusiastic volunteer, and prolific letter writer. She loved music, theater, nature, books, movies, NY Times Crosswords, art museums, the Yankees, and above all, her many friends and family members, especially her late husband, Neal, her devoted daughters, Maureen Goodenow and Suzanne Michels and her many nieces and nephews who brought her much joy. “May flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.” Memorial visitation at the Fred H. McGrath & Son, Funeral Home, Bronxville, between the hours of 2 to 4 and 6:30 to 8:30 pm, Thursday, October 29, 2015.
