Arduin J Corvinelli, a longtime Yonkers resident, died aged 88 on June 26th, 2015 at Calvary Hospital in the Bronx following a long illness. An avid fan of jazz and golf, he was known as ‘Ed’ to friends and family. Born in Waterbury, CT on May 22nd, 1927 to Joseph and Sabina Corvinelli, he was raised in Brooklyn, New York and was educated at St Charles Borromeo School and Brooklyn Tech. Following wartime service in the Signal Corps of the United States Army, he trained as a mechanical engineer and worked as a chief estimator for Raisler Corporation and later Tishman Construction in New York City. He was a dedicated parishioner at St Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in Bronxville. He was predeceased by his wife, Matilda, whom he married in 1953, and granddaughter Sophia. He is survived by his children Laura and Edward, their spouses John and Lisa, and grandchildren Samuel and Megan. Calling hours at the Fred H. McGrath & Son, Funeral Home, Bronxville, between the hours of 6 to 8 pm Tuesday, June 30th. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St Joseph’s Bronxville on Wednesday July 1st, 9:45 am.
