Sarah Adelaide Niles Léonard, wife of the late Gustave-Pierre Léonard, died peacefully in Bronxville, NY on June 1, at 85, after a long illness. Born in Brooklyn, NY to the late Edward and Dorothy Niles, “Sally” lived almost all of her life in Bronxville and wintered for years in Atlantis, FL. Since 1936, she was a member of the Monmouth Beach Bath and Tennis Club, Monmouth Beach, NJ. An alumna of the College of New Rochelle, she served in its administration for over 35 years, retiring as Vice President for College Advancement in 1990. She is survived by her sisters Mary Kathryn (John W. Cooper), Dorothy Ann (Bernard A. Coyne) and Patricia Edmée (Robert C. Dohrenwend), 9 nieces and nephews and 11 grand nieces and nephews. Calling hours at the Fred H. McGrath & Son, Funeral Home, Bronxville, between the hours of 5 to 9 pm, Thursday. Mass of Christian Burial, St. Joseph’s Church, Bronxville, on Friday, June 5 at 10:45 am.
