Bruno Oliveto, Sr.
Bruno Oliveto was born October 8, 1938 in New York City. His parents Salvatore and Rose moved from Italy to The Bronx NY where they raised Bruno and his brother Frank. He graduated from Rice High School in Manhattan. After school he worked as a bricklayer with his father. He then did architectural drawings for several years. He served in the US Army National Guard from 1959 to 1965. In 1966 he began working as a clerk at the US Postal Service and worked there for 30 years, most of it in the Bronx. He also worked a second job as a driver instructor in Yonkers NY. In 1967 he met his wife Gloria at a dance hall in Queens NY, and they were married a year later. He loved dancing and spending time with his family. He loved watching Yankee games, playing cards, and going to casinos for fun. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Gloria, sons Salvatore and Bruno Jr., and 2 beautiful grandchildren.
