August 27, 2026 at 6:32 amTo uncle John, Annmarie, Kevin, Michelle Johnny and all the extended family. We were all very upset to learn of the sudden passing of your beloved Anne. Anne was a very special lady, she touched the lives of so many in such a positive way. I have always been so thankful to her for the warmth, kindness and hospitality she showed when I spent that summer with you in Yonkers in 1991. From the moment I arrived Anne was like my second mother. There was always a ready supply of Tropicana orange juice in the fridge , pancakes piled high for breakfast with lashings of maple syrup but most importantly that smile that anyone who has ever met her knows of. While Anne made sure my body was well fueled she also insured my soul was too and we never missed mass at St John the Baptist on Sundays !! I was blessed to have spent those months with her and she gave so much of herself as always to ensure my experience was so positive.
I am so glad we got to spend those hours with you all in Yonkers three years ago and our kids got to finally meet Anne in person. The fact that that day with you all was the highlight of their trip to New York is a reflection of the hard work Anne put in rearing such a great family who like she always did, showed great hospitality, made everyone feel so welcome and insured we all left better than when we arrived with more great memories to cherish. While Anne’s physical presence will be sorely missed by so many her great legacy of generosity, warmth and kindness will be carried on by those she was close to especially her adult children, grand children and great grandchildren and generations to come I am sure. You were blessed to have such a wonderful woman in your lives, she was one of a kind. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this very difficult time.
