June W. Malone of Bronxville, NY, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at the age of 87, with her family and friends by her side. June was born in the Bronx, NY, on June 15, 1938, the daughter of William and Mildred Parfitt, and sister to Eleanor and Ann.
On June 21, 1959, she married the love of her life, Francis (Frank) Malone, who predeceased her on January 9, 1997. June was the beloved mother of Kathleen (Denis) Prince; Margaret (Gary) Evans; Maureen (Derry) Healy; and Daniel (Elizabeth) Malone. She adored her nine grandchildren: Patrick, Tara, Kerry (Brian), Kelly, Christopher, Katie, Kaitlyn, Conor, and Ryan. She also cherished her great-granddaughter, Erin, who always put a smile on her face.
She was a cherished Sister, Sister-in-law, Aunt, Great-Aunt, Godmother, Cousin, Friend, and a loving mother figure to many. There were so many people in her life she has touched which was proven through lifelong friendships which were cultivated and continued to next generations.
June worked in various positions throughout the years. She started a ceramic business with her sister-in-law, Eileen, and many of her creations were displayed in her home during the holidays. She also owned and operated a Carvel franchise in the Bronx with her husband, Frank. Later, she worked for many years at Citigroup in Harrison and New York City until her retirement. She gave her all in every endeavor.
Her love for her family and friends was displayed through the numerous photos throughout her home. No one was a stranger in her home; there was always a place for one more at her table. Proven many times on holidays when there could be over 30 people for dinner and more than enough leftovers the next day. Even on the day she left us there were many sitting around her big round kitchen table sharing laughter and stories the way she would have wanted it.
She wanted to remain in the home she loved. We were able to honor her wish over the past years with the help of family, friends, and caregivers.
She is loved and will be missed beyond measure.
