William A. Brocks, a longtime resident of Yonkers, NY, died on May 30, 2014. William was born on November 26, 1925 in the Bronx to the late John and Belle Brocks. He was a proud veteran of WWII and Korea. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Estelle (Harper); his children, Kathleen Whiteside (Richard), William Jr (Kathleen), Nancy Bruckmann (Mark) and Thomas (Margaret); 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his grandson and namesake William Brocks III and his brother John. Calling hours at the Fred H. McGrath and Son Funeral Home Bronxville, between the hours of 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Monday. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of the Annunciation, Crestwood on Tuesday June 3, 2014 at 10 am. Internment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY. The family would like to gratefully acknowledge the entire Wartburg community for their loving care given to Bill over the past three years.
