Joan Randall Lambert of Tustin California, formerly of Scarsdale New York, passed away peacefully at home on March 14 surrounded by her family.
For 52 years she was the beloved wife of Harry Lambert. She leaves behind her husband Harry, three children Garry (Bea), Heather and Priscilla (Sean) and four grandchildren Connor, Gavin, Alex and Lauren.
Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina to parents in the United States Foreign Service, she traveled the world with her family and lived in Argentina, Mexico, Spain, Cuba and Thailand. She was a graduate of Trinity Washington University in Washington D.C. and earned a Masters degree from USC. Fluent in French and Spanish, Joan taught languages at the high school and university level for a number of years. She had a lifelong love of travel, mystery novels, dogs and impromptu singing. She was a scuba diver, a distance runner and always renowned for her beauty, elegance and exquisite taste. Throughout her life her family came first.
To celebrate Joan’s life and legacy, family and friends will gather at Fred McGrath and Son Funeral Home in Bronxville New York 4-8 PM Wednesday March 26th for a visitation. Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM Thursday March 27th at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Scarsdale New York followed by interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, New York.
