Joseph E. Arcoleo of Yonkers, on August 12, 2023 at the age of 90. He was predeceased by his wife of 41 years, Patricia Arcoleo, his parents, Rose and Joseph Arcoleo and his brother Eugene. He is survived by his son, James Derise, of Yonkers, NY and his daughter and son in law, Fay and Bill Richardson of Poughkeepsie, NY. Proud Grandfather to Pattie Richardson (Mike) of Hyde Park, and Grandson aka Best friend Billy Richardson (Samantha) of Hopewell Junction. Proud Great Grandfather to Amber Wisseman, Pvt. Brian Wisseman, US Army, Liam, Rylee, and Logan Richardson. He is also survived by his sister, Catherine, and numerous nieces and nephews. Joe proudly served in the US Army 1951-1957, a Korean War Combat Veteran. A beloved foreign language teacher, Joe touched many lives throughout the NYC public and various parochial schools. Joe was an avid Yankees fan who would drop everything to watch his Yankees play. At 90, Joe was still teaching his great-grandchildren how to play baseball. Calling hours at the Fred H. McGrath & Son Funeral Home, Bronxville, Thursday between the hours of 3 to 7pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph’s Church, Bronxville on Friday, August 18, 2023 at 9:45am.

I can see Aunt Rose’s eyes in Joseph’s picture. I am sure you had a wonderful life with this wonderful person.
