I knew Jason in middle school. He played a profound role in supporting me in my transition to going to a new school. He was warm and friendly and used laughter as the medicine to soothe my nerves. It has been a long time my old friend but you are deeply missed. ????

My deepest condolences to Jason’s wife, daughter, and family. Jason was a dear friend of mine at college, my senior thesis partner and companion through many classes, campus walks, restaurants, cafes, stone steps, books, plays, laughter, tears, music, and ideas. He was always there, ready with a smile and a glint in his eye. He managed to be endearing in all things, even when he was tired or bored. A genius wit, his humor was as reliable as the rising and setting of the sun. Nothing escaped his notice. For many of his friends, Jason will always be the funniest, the smartest, never to be eclipsed. His talent was effortless. –Goodnight, sweet prince, and flights of angels sing thee to thy rest. The world will always be a dimmer place, now that you have gone.–

My sincere condolences to your family as you endure what must be the unimaginable. Jason’s vitality was a true light to those who’ve known him, and his memory will live not only through the dynamic energy he contributed to our lives, and to his craft, but also through his humility and approachability and genuine warmth that were hallmarks of the relationships he formed. Jason is very loved and admired, and his loss hits our community of American Repertory Theatre Art Institute graduates, and his 1995-97 class, with particular ferocity. We will always love and wistfully think of you, Jason. You were forever a little wild, and now you are also free.

    To the entire Fisher family.

I am so saddened and shocked to hear of Jason’s passing. We lost touch, but I always held Jason in my mind as one of the most charismatic, hilarious , intelligent people I knew as a kid. He was leader. He was able to always up the bar. It was so beautiful to see Jason and his daughter. It made me so happy. That just said everything to me about the character of the young man I remembered. We had our first band together called Satan’s Rats , which was completely improvised and hilarious. I am a professional musician and somehow I have always kept Jason and that time as 13 year old boys drinking jolt cola on a Friday nights in chappaqua , making music for ourselves only. We would listen back and laugh hysterically. I will always have Jason in my heart and soul. My deepest deepest condolences to the entire fisher family. His wife , who I never had the pleasure of meeting. My heart is heavy for his daughter. I have recently had my own child and I am praying for her. I love you Jason. Rest in power my friend. The angels are holding you gently.
