Devlin, Ellen Marie – Fred H. McGrath & Son, Inc.

Ellen Marie Devlin of Somers, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on May 1, 2021. Beloved daughter of the late Edward J and Gertrude A Devlin, loving sister of Joanne and Suzanne, dear Aunt of Daniel and Brian and devoted owner of her precious rescue dogs Max and Juliet. After graduating from Manhattan College with a double major in Computer Information Systems and Finance, Ellen began a career in Finance in NYC. Calling Hours at the Fred H. McGrath & Son Funeral Home, Bronxville between the hours of 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm Thursday. Mass of Christian Burial St. Joseph’s Church, Bronxville on Friday, May 7 at 10:45am. In Lieu of Flowers contributions may be made in Ellen’s memory to your local Animal Shelter.

My dear friend Ellen
I have so many memories all good you were kind and so loving I will miss you terribly but I know you were in pain god saw you were tired and brought you home now you are on the next chapter of your life I’m sure your mom and dad were at heavens gate to greet you you will always live in my heart and I am so blessed to have you in my life I love you Ellen hugs michelle

Neighbor, friend, fellow dog person… You welcomed us when we moved here 7 years ago and we wish you were still here. Always ready with a story, I never returned home without a smile on my face. We got to Yankee Stadium for a game, but not to Citi Field to see your Mets. When we do, you’ll be with us. A good friend and neighbor, who will be missed in many ways. Rest in peace.

Ellen was my aunts best friend a aunt to her daughter she was a friend and family member to me she might of not been blood but she definitely was family and one of a kind , Ellen was a beautiful soul who loved hard and was always telling it like it was no bull , she was funny and loved her family and friends with her all she was a caring person to animals and loved her dogs , there’s so many things Ellen has done with true companion and realest , Ellen you will definitely be missed thank you for loving me and my family and being a true friend to my aunt , To her family my heart breaks for you all I’m sending prayers and hugs I wish I could be there to say theses things in person just know I’m truly sorry for your loss in your sister God best . Ellen was a beloved neighbor of myself and my three siblings as we all grew up on Hull Avenue with the Devlin girls. I still remember seeing her as a baby shortly after she came home from the hospital. I was blessed to reconnect with her through Facebook over the past few years. Gone to a greater reward and dearly missed!!

Ellen, my sister from another mother, I miss you! No words can describe how much I miss you, the pain of losing a family. My kids will never have the chance to meet and play with their crazy auntie.
