Marian T. Cahill, 93, of Venice, FL died peacefully on January 22, 2013.
She was born on October 13, 1919 in New York City, was a resident of Venice for 33 years and a former 23 year resident of Crestwood, New York in Westchester County. Marian was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes parish and the Venice Golf and Country Club. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 64 years, Vincent J. Cahill as well as her daughter , Suzanne Cahill and grandson, Jeremy Cahill. Marian is survived by her 4 sons and 6 daughters: Vincent J. Cahill Jr. of Yonkers, NY; Lawrence R. Cahill of Scarsdale, NY; Fulton J. Cahill of Tinton Falls, NJ; Joseph V. Cahill of Warwick, NY; June Kellert of Toms River, NJ; Jeanne Manganaro of Nutley, NJ; Marian T. Westerlund of Venice, FL; Joan Louney Wakeman of Needham, MA; Mary Grace Flynn of Tinton Falls, NJ; Bernadette Flynn of Briarcliff Manor, NY. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Visiting hours will be on Monday, January 28, 2013 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at the Fred H. McGrath & Son, Funeral Home, 20 Cedar Street, Bronxville, NY. A 9:45 AM Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Annunciation Church, 465 Westchester Avenue, Crestwood, followed by burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 10 Steven Avenue, Hawthorne, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St Jude’s Children Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38101.
