Benedict M. Reynolds, MD, of Bronxville, died peacefully on April 14, 2019. Beloved husband of the late Alice M. Reynolds. Loving father of John, Anne Marie (Jonathan Rie), Mary Alice Puente (Anibal), Daniel (Diane Ouchterloney) and the late Benedict and Alice Josephine. Proud grandfather of Alice (Michael), Katie, Tom, Megan, Sean, James, Claire and the late Natalie and great grandfather of Grace. He received his medical degree from New York University in 1948. Dr. Reynolds was a Professor of Surgery at New York Medical College and Albert Einstein College of Medicine. During his career, he was Director of Surgery at Misericordia Hospital 1962 – 1983, Director of Surgery Fordham Hospital 1964 – 1976 and Chairman, Department of Surgery 1976 – 1982. He was Director of Surgery at Westchester Square Hospital until his retirement in 2011. Calling Hours at the Fred H. McGrath & Son, Funeral Home, Bronxville, between the hours of 4 to 8 pm, Tuesday. Mass of Christian Burial, St. Joseph’s Church, Bronxville, on Wednesday, April 17 at 9:45 am.
