Gordon Casper, age 100, of West Haven passed away on March 25, 2018. He was the loving husband of the late Ann Langan Casper. Father of Jeff (Maureen) Casper and Tim (Susan) Casper all of NY, Dan (Tina) Casper of CO and Joan (Mark) Paglinco of West Haven, grandfather of Daniel Casper, Christopher (Molly) Casper, Thomas Casper, Lauren (Tom) Gallivan, Peter (Yabome) Casper, Sean (Stacey) Casper, Collin Casper, Ryan (Liz) Paglinco, Kevin Paglinco and Kelsey Paglinco, great grandfather of William, Timmy, Grace, Mae, Louli, Bodhi, Dillion, Capri, Taylor and Sloane. Gordon was a WWII Veteran, serving in the 27th Division. He was a retired member of the local 32 B & J, and worked for Durst Reality. In his younger years, he was a recording secretary for the Bronx Historical Society and an active member of CYO. Gordon was a lifelong NY Yankee fan, he even attended Babe Ruth’s Funeral . Visitation on Monday at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green from 4 to 8 pm and then on Tuesday at the Fred H. McGrath & Son, Funeral Home, Bronxville, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph’s Church, Bronxville, on Wednesday, March 28 at 9:45 am. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery.
