Patricia Rose Donohoe-Mulligan, 56, a proud native of the Bronx who later made her home in Eastchester, New York, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, October 18th, 2017. She was the devoted wife of Thomas Mulligan and cherished mother of Kelsey, KatieLynn, Patricia, and the late Amanda.

Born to Thomas and Margaret “Peggy” Donohoe (née Gaffney), originally of County Cavan, Ireland, Patricia was the youngest of five children. She is predeceased by her sister Maureen Donohoe and is lovingly remembered by her siblings Margie (Timothy) O’Donoghue, Kathy (Albert) Neese, and Eddie Donohoe. She was a beloved aunt to Allen and Kasey Neese; Thomas O’Donoghue; and Kyra, Desmond, Falyn, John, and Austin McGoey.

Known fondly as Tricia or Trish, Patricia lived a life filled with love, joy, and faith. She adored animals, music, dancing, and every moment spent with her family. She had a deep love for the songs that shaped her life; among her favorite artists were Elton John, Billy Joel, The Rolling Stones, America, The Eagles, and Creedence Clearwater Revival, with many more she held dear. Her all-time favorite songs were “Your Song” by Elton John and “Far Away Eyes” by The Rolling Stones.

Patricia was truly hilarious—always quick with a smile, a joke, or a playful comment. Those in her presence often found themselves laughing, lifted by her warm and lively spirit. Her home was always open, especially around the holidays. Often those who had no family nearby, and treated everyone like her own.

Devoted to helping others, Patricia worked in real estate, home health care, and volunteered weekly as a catechist—a role she cherished deeply. Above all, her greatest joy and proudest calling was being a wife and mother. She lived for her daughters, Kelsey, Katie and Patricia, and for her beloved husband, Tommy, and she could not have been prouder of the people her girls grew to be.

Patricia’s warm spirit, generous heart, and radiant presence touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her journey was marked by compassion, devotion, and unwavering faith in God. Her passing leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of her family, friends, and all whose lives she graced.

We ask that she be remembered not for how her life ended, but for how beautifully she lived—and for the profound impact she had on everyone fortunate enough to know her. It was truly a home filled with laughter. She will be missed beyond what words can express.

To honor Patricia, we ask that you always find the beauty and laughter in life—the very things she brought to everyone around her. She often said that “life is as short as a chapter in a book,” and she lived by that truth every day. In her memory, please be kind, gentle, and generous to the people you meet. Nothing would honor her more.
