Upon return to the United States, John completed his education including his law degree and after a brief period working for a Wall Street insurance firm in New York City, he enjoyed a long and fruitful 50+ year legal career in Bronxville, NY including a significant period as the Police Prosecutor for Bronxville.

An avid tennis player, he was always up for a match either at their summer home in Candlewood Knolls, New Fairfield, CT or with his regular weeknight group in Yonkers.  In later years he derived great joy from his gardens and playing the trombone to the delight of his grandchildren.
