Vinci, Msgr. Guy September 8, 1931 - July 6, 2023

Msgr. Guy Vinci passed away peacefully on July 6, 2023. Loving son of the late Carlo and Frances Vinci, dear brother of Alba Goebel, Marie Baris and the late Celia Baris. Fr. Guy, as he was affectionately known by his parishioners, was ordained on May 30, 1959 at St. Patrick’s Cathedral. He spent his early years as a priest working in Catholic Education. In 1981, while appointed a parish priest at St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral, he was named Chaplain of the New York Fire Department. He was appointed Pastor of St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral in 1985, where he served until 1995. He then served as pastor of St. Gregory the Great Parish in Harrison, NY from 1995 until 2001. From 2001 until his retirement in 2014 Fr. Guy was a Senior Priest at St. Joseph’s Church, Bronxville. Rest in Peace Father Guy, your light continues to shine brightly, inspiring all who had the privilege of knowing you. Calling Hours will be held at St. Joseph’s Church, Bronxville on Tuesday, July 11^th between the hours of 4 to 7 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph’s Church on Wednesday July 12 at 10am. In Lieu of flowers donations in Fr. Guy’s name may be made to Calvary Hospice.
