Fogliano, Domenico October 20, 1935 - June 19, 2023

Domenico “Bob” Fogliano passed away peacefully in Bronxville at the age of 87 on Monday, June 19, 2023  holding the hand of his beloved wife of 62 ½ years. Born in Casamassima (Bari), Italy on October 20. in 1935, he was the youngest of 10 children born to the late Antonio Fogliano and Maria Savino. Domenico was known to many as “Mimmino”and served in the Italian military for 18 months. He later learned the fine craft of tailoring and became a well known tailor in his hometown. During that time at the young age of 17, he met and fell in love with Domenica who would eventually become his wife. In Italy they began their family and had 3 children but they wanted a better life for them and a chance at more opportunities leading them to emigrate to America in August of 1972. It was here in America where they completed their family with the birth of their 4th child. The family started off in the Bronx and later moved to Yonkers. Domenico was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend. He is survived by his wife, Domenica, his 4 children, Mariella (Francesco), Antonio (Lisa), Giacomo (Lia), and Sabina (Melissa). He also leaves behind his 3 grandchildren Giuliana, Michael & Daniela all of whom he adored. He is predeceased by his parents, Antonio & Maria Savino and his 9 siblings and beloved daughter-in-law  Domenica.

Domenico was a kindhearted and generous man never taking anything for granted. Something as simple as a sunny day made him happy. He never spoke a bad word about anyone but instead found joy in being in the company of others, especially his family who he was so proud of. Domenico’s  positive attitude and zest for life brought joy and smiles to all who knew him and loved him and we hope to honor his legacy in all the days to come. We take comfort in knowing that he lived such a long and  fulfilling life and was able to witness his children and grandchildren flourish and prosper throughout the years.

We pray that Domenico rests in the sweetest of peace and continues to dance now with the angels.
