Woods, Patricia Rose, 80, quietly passed away with her family by her side on July 8, 2022. Pat was admired and loved by many, and her family and friends will deeply mourn her loss. She is survived by her loving daughter Aurora Tishelman (Edward), adored grandsons, Benjamin, David (Sarah), Jared (Kelsey), great grandson Will and beloved sister Victoria (Rocco). Pat was predeceased by her sisters Virginia and Gloria, and by her son Christopher.
Born in 1942 to deaf parents, Walter and Rose (Quartararo) Woods, Pat was fiercely independent, starting her career in the textile industry and moved on to open an independent bookstore in Hartsdale, NY. Eventually Pat joined Manhatanville College where her influence was felt by so many students and staff until her retirement in 2013. She will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her wit and humor, her love of literature and her passionate advocacy for civil, human, women’s, and voting rights. A memorial service will be held on Monday July 25, 2002, at 11:00 at McGrath and Sons Funeral home in Bronxville, NY.
