William H. Moulton, 75, died peacefully at his home on February 19, 2012.
He was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota and was a longtime resident of Bronxville, NY. Bill was the beloved husband of Gail for 46 years, devoted father of Sarah (Keith) Connolly of Pelham, NY and William H. Moulton, Jr. of Brooklyn, NY, adoring grandfather of Georgia and Katie, dear brother of Page of Los Angeles, CA, James (Terry) of Minnetonka, MN and Sissy (Sigurd) Ueland of Scottsdale, AZ and loving uncle of his nieces and nephews. Bill attended West High School and was an outstanding athlete in football, hockey and tennis. He graduated from the University of Minnesota and was a member of Psi Upsilon fraternity. In 1961, Bill moved from Minnesota to New York City, where he worked in the insurance industry. He later founded the insurance brokerage, W.H. Moulton Company, LLC in White Plains, NY. Bill served as a member of the Bronxville Library Board and also belonged to the American Yacht Club in Rye, NY and the Bronxville Field Club. He will always be remembered for his sense of humor, generosity and love of family. He was an avid reader, with a keen interest in history and current events. He loved sports and the outdoors, especially sailing on the Sound with the wind at his back. He will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts. A memorial service will be held at The Reformed Church of Bronxville on Friday, March 2nd at 3:30pm.In Lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to a charity of your choice. Bill will be interred at Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN.
