Thomas J. Fitzharris, Jr. of Eastchester, NY passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 3, 2012.
His loving wife, Elizabeth, was at his side. He was 91 years old. Born in New Rochelle in 1920, he lived most of his life in Eastchester after graduating from the University of Notre Dame in 1942 and serving as an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. He retired as a Major. Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Patricia and Kathleen and a son, Thomas; as well as 6 grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by his infant son, Michael James. His end came quietly at his home, on the feast day of St. Thomas. Calling hours at the Fred H. McGrath & Son, Funeral Home, between the hours of 4 to 7 pm Thursday. Mass of Christian Burial St. Joseph’s Church Bronxville on Friday July 6 at 11 am.
