A Celebration of life:  12 Noon to 2 pm, Saturday, June 10th, Siwanoy Country Club 

Hallie Jane Tapp passed away on May 18th, 2017, peacefully, surrounded by love and was laid to rest in Indiana Pennsylvania with the rest of her family. Born to Flo Mack and James N. Dill in 1913, she spent her youth between Dilltown and McKeesport, PA, until she graduated form the College of William and Mary where she majored in hotel management. She married then Navel Lt. (JG) Robert Hampton Tapp in September, 1944 and moved to Bronxville, NY in 1947, where they lived and loved one another for almost 50 years until his death in 1991. Mrs. Tapp began her lifelong love and complete devotion to the DAR in PA as a woman and became a member of the Ann Hutchinson Chapter upon arrival in NY. She served as the NY State regent from 1977-1980 and was the National Corresponding Secretary General from 1980-1983. In addition she was one of the longest serving volunteers at Lawrence Hospital of Bronxville and was honored as such. An extremely active and independent woman who loved to travel; she golfed and played bridge as an esteemed member at the Siwanoy Country Club for over 60 years. Hallie Jane was a class act in the best sense of the word, always elegant and kind to all. Devoted to family and friends allover the world. So in keeping with her spirit her family asks that you show love and kindness to those you know and more importantly to those you do not. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, June 10th at Siwanoy Country Club between the hours of 12 Noon and 2 pm.
