Sutherland, Arthur Turner, Jr. August 12, 1938 - September 3, 2023

Arthur Turner Sutherland Jr. (Jim), of Bronxville, passed away Sunday September 3, 2023 surrounded by his family, he was 85 years old. Loving husband of wife Helen. Adored father to Elizabeth, Suzanne (husband James), Jennifer (late husband Michael), Amy (husband Eric), Daniel and James (wife Katie). Beloved Grandfather to Sean, Brooke, Kaelie, Anthony, Grace and Sophie.

Arthur was born August 12, 1938 in Manhattan NY to Margaret and Arthur Sutherland Sr. He grew-up in Hartsdale with his 3 siblings: Kenny (deceased), Missy Sutherland and Sam Sutherland. As a child, he spent summers in Toronto and Kentucky with his favorite cousins.

“Jim” attended The Hill School and graduated University of Colorado at Boulders receiving his B.S. degree. He had a successful career in Advertising and was a lover of anything related to music, an integral part of various choirs and sang at Lincoln Center. Besides music he loved playing golf, reading, and socializing.

Visiting hours for Arthur will be at McGrath Funeral Home on Sunday September 10, 2-5pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday 10:45am at St. Joseph’s Church of Bronxville, New York.
