Schneider, Maureen June 6, 1948 - September 5, 2021

Maureen A. Schneider, of Yonkers, passed away on Sept. 5, 2021. Beloved wife of Robert J. Schneider.  Loving mother of Jennifer (Keith) Snyder and Mickey Schneider (Stacy).  Devoted grandmother of Daniella Schneider, Brooke Snyder, Jake Schneider, Jackson Snyder and Chase Schneider.  Dear sister of Patti Shanahan, Michael Shanahan, Anne Ingram and the late Richie Shanahan. Maureen touched everyone she ever met with kindness and generosity. No matter who you ask, they would describe her as the most selfless person they’ve ever met. Her happiness was derived from simply making other people happy. A mainstay at Tuckahoe and Eastchester little league games, basketball games, soccer, track meets, plays, concerts, awards ceremonies and dance shows, she was known and loved by so many in the local community. She also has remained loyal and close with friends she’s had since her teenage years in the Bronx, as well as new friends she’s made at her home away from home LBI, New Jersey. Her driving passion was her family, and she devoted herself to making them feel happy, special and loved. She will be missed tremendously by everyone, but we know she will be smiling down upon us all from above.

Maureen was without question one of the most incredible women I’ve had the pleasure of knowing. She was always so kind and generous to me, both before my move to California and especially during my summer visits back to New York. Our love and prayers pour out to Bob, Jen, Mickey, and the rest of the Schneider family. We will all miss her terribly, but take solace in knowing that Heaven is a better place now that God has called her to be in His company.
