Romeo, James J., Sr January 27, 1938 - April 6, 2022

James J Romeo Sr. (Jim), passed away peacefully at his home on April 6th, 2022 at the age of 84.

Jim is survived by his partner Randi, his loving children John (Abigail) Romeo, Denise (Vincent) Ierardi, James Jr. (Lori) Romeo and Steven Romeo, his adoring grandchildren, Alexa, Julianna, Alyssa, James and Rhys as well as his loving Sister Barbara (Michael) Fasciglione.

Jim was born in New Rochelle on January 27th 1938 to John and Dorothy (Dolly) Romeo and had a wonderful childhood growing up in the Town of Eastchester surrounded by generations of family who all lived in a close knit neighborhood.

Jim went on to graduate Eastchester High School and then was off to Villanova University to pursue his dream of becoming a Structural Engineer.

Jim continued on to create and grow a Successful Consulting Engineering Firm while aiding his Father in running the families’ local Real Estate business all while raising and caring for his family in his home in the Town of Eastchester.

Jim lead a rich and fulfilling life both personally and professionally and will be missed deeply by those who knew him and loved him.

A Celebration of Jim’s life will take place at Fred McGrath & Son Funeral Home located at 20 Cedar St, Bronxville, NY 10708 on Friday, April 8th from 4 – 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take Place at the Immaculate Conception Church located at 53 Winter Hill Road, Tuckahoe NY 10707 on Saturday April 9th at 9:30AM in Tuckahoe.  Interment will follow at Holy Mount Cemetery in Eastchester, NY.

Calling Hours: 4 to 8 pm, Friday, April 8, 2022

Mass: 9:30 am, Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Immaculate Conception Church, Tuckahoe

    Jim- Rest in Peace.. Growing up we had such a great sense of family. Grandpa Romeo was bold giving us chances other grandkids never got until much later on. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.
