Bridie Rogan, (Leddy), former resident of Bronxville, NY and beloved wife of the late Neil Rogan. Died on January 23, 2018, at the age of 95. Bridie was born in County Leitrim, Ireland and emigrated to the United States at the age of 17. She is survived by her four children: Thomas, Mary, Frank and Catherine; her son-in-law Tom, and daughters-in-law Mary and Ilsa; in addition to six beloved grandchildren, Laura, Paul, John, Brendan, Julia and Carla. As a mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, neighbor and friend, Bridie was most supportive and was sought out for her wise counsel and practical advice, often given over a cup of tea and soda bread. As a result, she formed many lasting friendships and will be missed by all who knew her. She was a person young in spirit and full of charm, who believed in working hard and enjoying life. Having people around her was an essential part of her life and she truly believed “the more the merrier”. Bridie was also dedicated to her faith and a tireless volunteer for numerous church, school and community organizations, as well as serving as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Joseph’s Church. Calling hours at the Fred H. McGrath & Son, Funeral Home in Bronxville are between the hours of 2 to 6 pm, Sunday, January 28. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Church, Bronxville, on Monday, January 29 at 10:45 am with burial to follow at St. Raymond’s Cemetery, Bronx, NY.
