Trudy Rodriguez, 83, of Bronxville, New York, died on Monday February 23rd of complications stemming from Parkinson’s disease. She was born and raised in Wertheim-am-Main on the “Romantic Road” in southern Germany and moved to Bronxville in the 1950s with her Bronxville-native husband Ray and remained here the rest of her life.  Trudy made many great friends in Bronxville and was very happy here. She was a member of the Bronxville Field Club for 50 years where she played on the tennis team and served as a governor. She earned a fine arts degree in art history and was an avid watercolorist. She enjoyed flowers and gardening and her gardens were a delight for the community.  When her children grew older she became a local realtor. Her life centered around her family and friends, her lovely home, tennis, art, Broadway shows (Matinee Club), gardening, bridge, travel, reading, swimming, driving her white cars with brio, her Poodles, and idyllic summers in Wainscott.  Her family also remembers her as an accomplished cook.  She raised her 4 loving children and later focused a great deal of attention on her 11 beloved grandchildren.  Trudy attended St. Joseph’s church, volunteered at Lawrence Hospital, and delivered meals for the homebound (meals-on-wheels).
