Rachele Gavasci, (nee Nardella), Cherished wife of the late Alberto Paolo Gavasci, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2011, surrounded by her loving family.
An accomplished women in her own right, Rachele began a career as a fashion designer who married and then dedicated the remainder of her life to her husband and family. Rachele gave many years of her life toward public service, and her involvements included the Girl Scouts of America, local educational projects and multiple community organizations. She is survived by her beloved children, her son Alberto and wife Elizabeth, and her daughter Piva and her husband Gerard. Rachele was the adored grandmother of Noelle and her husband Theodore, Christian and Thomas. She was the cherished sister of Ramona Nardella and her brother, the late Ralph Nardella. Rachele was an extraordinary women who always lavished love, support and compassion to her family and all who knew her. Her passing will leave a void that can never be filled. Mass of Christian Burial, St. Joseph’s Church, Bronxville, on Friday May 13 at 11 am.
