Quinn, Joan Kelly January 31, 1935 - October 21, 2018

QUINN (nee Kelly), Joan B. – Passed Away peacefully on Sunday October 21, 2018, in White Plains, NY. Beloved mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. She is survived by her 5 children, Kelli Nagel of Ossining NY, Jeanette Honigsbaum of London England, John Quinn of Manhattan, Susan Quinn of White Plains, NY, James Quinn of Manhattan, her grandchildren Olivia and Max Honigsbaum of London England, her sister Dorothy Cunnane of Pompano Beach, Florida, and her Cockapoo Liam. She was pre-deceased by her brothers, Jack Kelly, Ray Kelly, Robert Kelly, and Edward Kelly, her sisters Betty Pasquarelli, and Mae Keophler. Born in the Bronx, NY in 1935 to John and Mary Kelly, she was one of eight children.  She graduated from Aquinas H.S. in the Bronx 1953.  She married Jack Quinn in 1956, and eventually moved to Yonkers, before settling in White Plains in 1965 where they raised their children. Divorced in 1976, she went to work for Chubb Group Insurance in 1977 where she was employed for 22 years.  Her passion and commitment to her children and family, along with her deep Catholic faith were the cornerstones of her life.  She was an avid reader, and student of history. A lover of music and classic films.  Blessed with a beautiful singing voice, impeccable rhythm and dance moves, plus a quick sense of humor, she was often found at the center of the “stage” at the famous Kelly Family gatherings.  She was at her best in life’s toughest moments. Always a rock of calmness and grace for her children, family, and friends.   She was a woman who had traditional values, and yet had a deep appreciation for diverse and modern ideas. She will be dearly missed by all those whose lives she touched.  May you rest in eternal peace Mom.  We will cherish the memory of the beautiful, amazing woman you were!
