Pietrantoni, Mary Villa September 7, 1928 - June 15, 2022

Mary Villa Pietrantoni (September 7, 1928-June 15, 2022).  Married to Lino J. Pietrantoni,  Esq. on October 29, 1949 at Immaculate Conception Church on Gun Hill Road in the Bronx. Mary went to Couvent des Ursulines in Grand’Mere, Québec, Canada as a young girl. In her adult years, anyone that knew her would agree that she was warm and positive.  She was a housewife and living a happy life when devastation hit. Her beloved husband passed away on December 12, 1968. She was only 40 years old when she realized she had to raise 4 children (ranging from 3 1/2 months to 18 years old) on her own with the help of her mother, the amazing and incredibly talented Laura Campodonico Villa. After the initial shock of losing Lino, reality set in and she proceeded to take the bull by the horns to maintain her own home in Eastchester, NY for 45 years.  She obtained her Master’s Degree in Education from the former College of New Rochelle in 1973 specializing in Reading. She also attended Hunter College as well as her alma mater … the College of Mount Saint Vincent in Riverdale, NY (where her 3 daughters,  daughter-in-law and granddaughter attended) to increase her elementary educational credits. She worked in the Yonkers School system for 25 years at School 9 as a Kindergarten teacher.  During the summers of 1970’s, she worked at Mohawk Home School and Camp in White Plains, NY as a head counselor at their Summer Camp.  Amazingly and showing the elite single-parenting skills she had, all of her children went to college and had successful loving marriages.  In her retirement, she absolutely loved living in her ‘penthouse’ co-op at the Brooklands in Bronxville, NY.
Mary is survived by her eldest son and 3 daughters…Eugene “Gino” Pietrantoni (Sally), Laurette Coppolecchia (Pat), Marylee Vignola (Peter), Bettina “Tina” Branley (John), and her grandchildren…Nicholas Loddo (Jennifer), Christopher Coppolecchia (Anna), Steven Coppolecchia (Kayla), Kevin Coppolecchia, Nicole Vignola (Mike), Courtney Vignola (fiancé Michael), Mary Elizabeth Branley, Sean Branley, and her great-grandchildren … Teddy, Bella, Gracie and Riley Loddo / Carter, Lorelei and Isadora Coppolecchia / Madison and Reagan Coppolecchia.
