Pauline Stoffel, 75, passed away gracefully and peacefully on January 25, 2012. Pauline was born in Yorkshire, England on January 6, 1937 to Ruth and Albert Crooks, a dentist.
She trained as a teacher in Yorkshire, then her sense of adventure led her to Switzerland where she found work and later met and married John Stoffel. Pauline lived much of her life in New Rochelle and saw much of the world through her work as a travel agent. She is survived by her three children, John Stoffel Jr., Kate Stoffel Oliver and Peter Stoffel, their spouses, seven grandchildren, by her sister Margerate Lindley of Yorkshire, England and her true love, John Stoffel. Pauline was a selfless and loving mother and grandmother. She has an incredible network of lifelong and loyal friends that were always by her side. Pauline lived life with a thirst for adventure, a lively spirit and a sense of humor. The family wishes to thank Jansen hospice and the wonderful women of the Irish Connection for giving so much comfort to us all.Calling hours will be held on Sunday, January 29th from 4-6 pm. A service will be held on Monday, January 30 at 10 am at McGrath and Sons funeral home in Bronxville, NY.
