Vartkes (Bill) Pasagian died at 10:50 PM on Saturday, January 25th, 2014 at age 81.  Born in Thessaloniki, Greece, son of Arthur and Araxi Pasagian and brother to Michael and Vartouhi survived World War II and became a textile merchant.  In 1963, he married Marie Bendenidis in Thessaloniki, Greece and they had three children, Araxi, Izabel and Arthur.  He moved with his family to Brooklyn, New York in 1971, and he worked at AMEX Fabrics in downtown Manhattan for 32 years.  He loved to spend time with family and friends and to travel.  He is survived by his loving wife , Marie Pasagian, Bronxville, New York, children Drs. William and Araxi Macaulay, Bronxville, New York,  William and Izabel McDonald, Esqs., Scarsdale, New York, Col. Arthur J. (United States Marine Corps) and Jessica Pasagian, CNMT, Quantico, Virginia, and grandchildren William, Corinne, Zoe, Eliza, Isabelle and Estelle.  The family would like to thank  the staff at Cabrini of Westchester  for the professional and compassionate care they provided.  In lieu of flowers, those wishing to do so may send a contribution to Cabrini of Westchester (Garden Level), 115 Broadway, Dobbs Ferry, New York 10522.
