It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John P. O’Connor, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by his daughters Jeanne and Susy, his son Michael and his grandchildren Laurie, Christie, Julie, Shannon and Matthew. Although we mourn for our loss he reunites with many of his loved ones. John grew up in the Bronx and lived in Yonkers. He was a retired New York City Detective Sergeant who loved the outdoors and fly-fishing in his younger years. We will all miss laughing with him on Sunday at Rory Dolans. We welcome all to John’s wake on Sunday, July 24th at the McGrath Funeral Home in Bronxville, NY from 2 to 5 pm. Mass of Christian Burial, St. Joseph’s Church, Bronxville, on Monday, July 25 at 10:45 am.
