Mullins, Elizabeth “Betty” October 1, 1935 - March 1, 2023

Elizabeth (Betty) Mullins of West Palm Beach FL on March 1.  Loving wife of the late Ed and beloved mother of Betty Ann and Marge who are deeply grateful for the care provided by Calvary Hospital during the last months of Betty’s life. Betty was a devoted wife for 62 years and a loving and supportive Mom who was deeply involved in her girls’ lives, serving as a Girl Scout leader and a volunteer and PTA member at their schools. Betty was an avid reader, a skilled seamstress who produced many wonderful Halloween costumes and a dancer (whose repertoire included Irish step dancing). An only child, she was embraced by the extended Mullins clan when she married Ed and was an attentive aunt to her many nieces and nephews. She was a faithful Catholic, a proud graduate of Cathedral High School, who was an active member of her parishes, Our Lady of Assumption in the Bronx, and, later, St. Mark’s in the Poconos. Betty and Ed enjoyed their retirement years in Arrowhead Lakes and the Palm Club where they shared many good times with great friends. Betty caught the travel bug early, crossing the Atlantic with her mother by ocean liner three times before her marriage and enjoying many cruises with friends and family as well as trips to Australia, the UK and Ireland, Germany, France and along the Rhine with Ed. Her last big trip, at 84, was to Croatia and Venice.

The family will receive friends at Fred H. McGrath & Son,  Funeral Home in Bronxville on Sunday March 5, between the hours of 2  to 6 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the St. Francis Chapel at Gate of Heaven Cemetery on Monday, March 6, 2023 at 11am followed by the interment.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wounded Warrior Project or Calvary Hospital, 1740 Eastchester Road, Bronx NY 10461.

We only have good memories of Betty. She was a favorite of all who knew her in Arrowhead Lake. Betty was always ready for a good time and always upbeat and thoroughly enjoyed herself at a party. We will miss her. God love you Betty.
