James Edward Moyna, also known as Jim, passed away on August 31, 2023, at the age of 56 in Yonkers, New York. He was born on November 16, 1966, in Bronx, New York. Jim was a loving husband to Michele Moyna and a devoted father to his children, James, Macklin, and Mackenzie.
Jim was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his mother, Irene Moyna, his sister Annemarie Moyna, and his brother Tommy Moyna. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Moyna, and his brother, Brendan Moyna. Jim also leaves behind a large extended family, including brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who were like family to him.
Jim received his education at Immaculate Heart of Mary for primary school, Archbishop Stepinac for high school, and Iona University for higher education.
Jim proudly served in the United States Marine Corp during Desert Storm as an active duty war veteran. His military associations were a source of great pride for him.
After his military service, Jim embarked on a successful career on Wall Street in 1993, where he formed lasting friendships with many colleagues. However, his true passion lay in fitness and health. Jim dedicated himself to constantly learning and exploring new avenues for his clients to live their healthiest lives.
Jim found solace and strength in his faith, and he worshipped at Annunciation Church. His spiritual beliefs were an important part of his life. He became a Eucharistic Minister while serving in the Marine Corp
Outside of his professional pursuits, Jim’s greatest joy came from being a father to his children. He poured his heart and soul into creating a loving and nurturing environment for them. Jim’s love for his wife, children, and their five dogs was immeasurable. He always encouraged others to live their best and healthiest lives.
James Edward Moyna will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of dedication, love, and devotion will forever be cherished by his family and friends. May he rest in peace.

April 6, 2024 at 9:12 pmI am so sorry to just find out this news now. I worked out at his studio for over a year but had to take a break around Nov 2022. Was wanting to get back into his studio bc I loved his 30 min concept. Omg I’m so sad. All he talked about was his wife, his children and his dogs. I thought he was one of the best stand up men I have ever met for all those reasons. I really feel sick for you and your family. I lost my dad at 54. I’m turning 54 tomorrow. Just hearing this (he was so healthy and happy) and my family history is putting me in a bad mind space. Anyway. God bless you and your children. The only thing that heals is time.
