Aline Patricia Marie McGrail passed away peacefully on September 16, 2022. She was 60 years old. Aline graduated from Manhattan College and became a Certified Public Accountant, ending her career with the Kobrand Corporation family. Aline was an amazing sister to Thomas Joseph McGrail (Eileen), James Michael McGrail (Nancy), Michele Irene Gerstemeier (Paul), Sean Lawrence McGrail (Karen), Mary Elizabeth Purdy (David), Michael Joseph McGrail (Michael John) and Patricia Anne Flynn (John). Aline was predeceased by her brother, Robert Charles, and her devoted, loving parents Aline and Michael J. McGrail, Sr. Aline is also survived by 15 nieces and nephews, 17 great nieces and nephews, 4 Godchildren, numerous loving cousins and countless beloved friends. Aline was adventurous, traveling all over the world, including to Ireland just a few months ago. But mostly, Aline lived a life of service to others, with an enormous sense of humor and a positive attitude. Aline lit up every room she was in. Hers was the definition of a life well-lived. Aline had enormous and strong faith, which was never more evident than during her valiant battle with this dreaded disease. She faced adversity with dignity and grace, and fought bravely until her last breath. Her family was honored to be with her during this time. Aline was passionate about wine, softball, the Mets, the Jets and City Island. Aline was kind and generous to all who were fortunate to know her. Calling hours at Fred H. September 19, 2022 at 5:02 amI am filled with enormous sadness at your passing Aline. You are a dear friend and colleague whom I have known for only such a short time but felt a great deal longer because of the light you shine at every conversation we had both personal and business. May the good Lord keep after you in a new glorious life in Heaven. I miss you already, George T.

September 19, 2022 at 5:39 pmAline – she was a wonderful friend, a devoted daughter, sister and aunt – she loved her family. I am so blessed to have been a part of Aline’s life as we met at Kobrand. Working with Aline, I was fortunate enough to find out so much about her, as she did me. She enjoyed her work-life as much as she did her personal life.
She was always so positive and even through her battle with this disease, she remained strong. I believe that her faith and her trust in God kept her going, along with her beautiful family/friends supporting her. I will take that memory with me always.
Please God, rest Aline now. She is at peace and no longer suffering. And I know she will be looking down on all of us with a smile telling us that everything will be alright. I will miss you my friend. Christina xx

September 20, 2022 at 1:23 pmIf you were privilege to know Aline you knew her life evolved around family. Having Michael and Aline as parents makes that easy to understand. Warm and loving are just a couple of pieces of Aline. The salient and largest piece was how she engaged with others. During our times together not only did Aline make me feel that I was the only person in the room but that I was the only one who mattered.
A piece of Aline and parents Mike and Aline will live with me forever. Thank you.
Rest In Peace

April 19, 2023 at 8:33 pmI just read of your passing in the MC Alumni newsletter. I did not know you Aline but your brother Rob was one of my best friends in college. I still think of him often, gone way too soon. I hope to think he greeted you with that big smile of his and a warm hug. May you Rest In Peace eternally with our Lord, and surrounded by family. The McGrail Family is in my thoughts and prayers.
