Martha Jane Berry Silliere (Marty), 90, formerly of Bronxville, died on October 30, 2011 in Parkville, Maryland. Marty was the wife of the late Edward A. Silliere, mother of Suzanne Silliere Barry, Christine Silliere Hoppe, Raymond Silliere and Edward Silliere Jr., grandmother of Michael Barry, Thomas Barry, Lynne Hoppe Edwards, Mallory Silliere and Paul Silliere,
and great grandmother of Keating Barry and Adelaide Edwards. She was born on October 21, 1921, in Detroit and raised in Grosse Pointe, Michigan. A resident of Bronxville for over 45 years, Marty worked as a real estate agent in Bronxville and prior to that was active in the Mother’s Club at St. Joseph’s Parish and the Girl Scouts. Marty was a long-time member of Siwanoy Country Club, the Bronxville Field Club and was actively involved in the Bronxville Women’s Club. Marty was also an avid bridge player her entire life. The family will receive friends at McGrath’s Funeral Home on Sunday November 6 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at McGrath’s Funeral Home on Monday, November 7th at 10:30. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Martha Silliere’s name to either the American Diabetes Association or Autism Speaks. www.autismspeaks.org.
