The Rodriguez family is very sad and in disbelief to hear about this tragic news. Mr. Magli has taught and advised our daughter Hana several times. We would like to extend our heart felt condolence to his family.

I had the pleasure of being one of his students. He was one of the teachers who actually believed in me. He had a different yet effective way of teaching. No exaggeration he was the best teacher I ever had. May he Rest In Peace. On behalf of his students he will never be forgotten.

I had the pleasure of being one of his students. He was one of the teachers who actually believed in me. He had a different yet effective way of teaching. In a school where many teachers didn’t care he did. He made class fun. He was so passionate about teaching that it rubbed off on us students and made us passionate to learn. No exaggeration he was the best teacher I ever had. May he Rest In Peace. On behalf of his students he will never be forgotten. May his name and his positive impact live on forever.

Thank you teaching us actual life skills, and pushing me to attend college. I graduated and am well because of it. Rest In Peace sir.

First day of teachers to report to school (SY 2016), he asked me to open room 344 and since I have a spare key, I gave it to him. Fast forward to the end of the year, I was in awe with his humility after knowing who really he was. He was my “key” to exploring the things I have never learned before. I will forever be thankful to have met you Philip. Sleep in Peace! Until we meet again.

I’m lost for words, you’re the reason many of us think the way we do. He taught us soo much, thinking in ways and exploring the world around us in ways we couldn’t imagine. I will always carry the life skills you gave us, that’s what was so great about him. He can take any topic school or non school related and turn it into LIFE. You honestly and truly touched my life. I just want to say thank you so much Mr. Magli. I love you & rest in peace. Your work on this Earth had a huge impact on the lives you touched and will continue to have a ripple effect for years to come.

You were one of the good ones, Mr. Magli. No one was more sharing, caring, and willing to help. I can’t believe you’re gone, but I think of you often and I always will.

It is impossible to put into words the impact Mr. Magli had on my life. Upon hearing this news I feel so much sadness, because, the world has lost one of the great ones. As a colleague of Mr. Magli’s, I witnessed first hand the impact he had on all of his students. Magli pushed you to be the best you could be, to learn, to grow, to question.

Specifically, recognizing the role financial freedom plays in someone’s life, Magli took so much time to help us teachers understand our finances and to create a secure plan for the future. He sat with me when I was 23 years old to do my taxes, by hand, for the very first hand. He taught me compounded interest. The value in foreign currency. He pushed me to think critically about what advanced degree to get. He encouraged me to take the right risks. Mr. Magli was simply magic.

I am truly so very sad to hear this news. I am sending his family my very deepest condolences. We were all lucky to know a man like Mr. Magli.

    With love.
