It is with immense sadness that the family and friends of Angela (Lee) Lioy, mourn her passing. She was 82 years old. Lee was born on January 24, 1929 in the Bronx, NY. She died peacefully on Sunday, April 10th, 2011, with her daughters by her side and under the watchful eyes and tender loving care of the doctors, nurses and staff of the Critical Care Unit at Lawrence Hospital in Bronxville, NY.
Lee was the daughter of the late Samuel and Angelina Fortunato, and sister of the late Nick Fortunato and Mary Fortunato-Leavy. Lee is survived by her brother Jack Fortunato. The beloved wife of Anthony, adored mother of Christi Genovesi and Teri Magnan, gracious mother-in-law of Ken Genovesi and Michael Magnan, and dearly beloved grandmother of grandson Perry Genovesi. She was also devoted to those who were privileged to call her “friend”. She will be deeply missed by family and loved ones. It is with a heavy heart and tear-filled eyes that we say goodbye for now, dearest Lee, as you embark on your next beautiful life.
