Noreen C. Leonard, age 82, of Atlanta, GA, formerly of Mashpee and Cohasset, on June 11, 2017. Beloved wife of the deceased James P. Leonard with whom she shared 55 years of marriage. Mother of James and his wife Elizabeth of Far Hills, NJ, Patrick and his wife Andrea of Atlanta, GA, Robert and his wife Cheryl of North Andover, and Mary of Milford, CT. Dear sister to Mary Ann O’Donnell of Bronxville, NY, and the late Patrick, Alexander, Charles, and Robert. Daughter of the late Patrick and Mary (Larkin) O’Donnell. Grandmother to seven grandchildren and aunt to seventeen nephews and nieces. Noreen was an executive secretary for many years, and retired from the Veratec division of International Paper. Noreen was a graduate of The College of the City of New York, and attended the Katharine Gibbs School. She was raised in Bronx, NY, and loved summers in the Hamptons, Cohasset, and the Cape. She was a wonderful host on many occasions for family and friends. She was active participating in the schools in Cohasset and enjoyed volunteering at the Senior Center and the Mashpee Library in her retirement. Funeral from Fred H. McGrath & Sons, Bronxville, NY. All are welcome to attend visiting hours Monday, June 26th from 4-7 pm. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, June 27th at 10:45 am at St. Joseph’s Church, Bronxville, NY. Interment will be private at the Massachusetts National Cemetery. Gifts in memory of Noreen can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org).
