La Penna, Nicholas December 18, 1925 - December 26, 2019

Nicholas La Penna, of Somers, passed away on December 26, 2019. Beloved husband of 40 years to Nancy La Penna. Loving father of Patrick (Jennifer) and devoted grandfather of Natalie. Dear uncle to many nieces and nephews. Nick served proudly for the US Army during WWII, where he fought bravely with the 99th Infantry Division, during the Battle of the Bulge. He was a Purple Heart and Bronze Star recipient. After the war he had a 32 year career with the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Calling hours at the Fred H. McGrath & Son Funeral Home, Bronxville between the hours of 5 to 8 pm Wednesday. Mass of Christian Burial, Thursday January 2, 2020 at the Church of the Sacred Heart, Hartsdale at 10 am.
