John Adams Miller of Bronxville died February 21st at age 73. He was born in Mt. Vernon to John T. Miller and Eva Mae Adams. He grew up in Yonkers graduating from Roosevelt High School and then Lafayette College. He earned a Masters in Education and was a guidance counselor for many years in Mt. Vernon.
He traveled widely with his family. He spent many summers in Lake George. He enjoyed swimming, fishing, skiing, camping, and gardening but above all he enjoyed his family and friends. He is survived by his wife Jean Keller Miller MD and his children Laura Moody, Jennifer Linehan, John Wilson Miller and Kelly Homola, as well as his ten grandchildren, his sisters Joanne Hanney and Kathleen Tafur and his stepfather James McGee. He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. Calling hours will be held Friday, Feb. 25th from 2-4 and 7-9pm at McGrath Funeral Home in Bronxville. A memorial service will be held at the Reformed Church in Bronxville on Saturday, Feb. 26th at 11am. In lieu of flowers please make a donation your favorite charity.
