Claire Marie Iamele Santucci, MD of Bronxville, NY passed away peacefully on July 27, 2024 surrounded by loved ones.  Claire was born in Brooklyn, NY on August 5,1939 to Louis and Marie (D’Amico) Iamele.  It was here that she spent a wonderful childhood attending St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception and St. Angela Hall High School. She relished games of neighborhood stoopball, Sunday gravy at her grandmother’s house and summers spent at Sound Beach with her extended family. After attending Rosemont College, Claire graduated from New York Medical College in 1966, where she was one of only three graduating women in her class. Claire spent her distinguished career helping others as a physiatrist, heading the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department at Mt. Vernon Hospital for over forty years.  In her spare time, Claire was an avid reader, skier, tennis player, Yankee fan and loved spending time on the east end of Long Island.  She is survived by her longtime partner Pamella Morrill and two adoring daughters, Dana Santucci Martin (Vincent Granata) and Lauren Santucci Pearlman (Brandon), as well as the lights of her life, grandchildren John Benjamin Martin (12) and Georgia Rose Pearlman (5).  She is also survived by her beloved brother Domenic Iamele and many friends, cousins, nieces and nephews whom she adored.  With her grace, generosity, wit and humor, Claire was easy to laugh and easy to love and will be fondly remembered by all.
