Anthony William Hunter, passed away at 97 years old on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 in Bronxville, New York. He was born March 5, 1918 to William and Antoinette Cacciatore in Yonkers, New York. Anthony was the proprietor of Parkway Liquors in Bronxville from 1945 to 2008. He enjoyed jazz, scotch and spending time with his family. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law Toni and Joe Gamils, son and daughter-in-law Bruce and Brenda Hunter, 5 grandchildren and their spouses, Joy and Francois Chaillou, Jeffrey and Jacqueline Gamils, Drew Gamils, Brooke Gamils, Skyler and Jenna Edwards and Sydney Hunter Edwards and 5 great grandchildren, Damien, Ryan, James, Anthony and Skyler as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Muffy, his brother William and his grandson Bruce. Visitation will be from 2:00 – 4:00PM and 6:00 – 8:00PM, Fred H. McGrath & Son, Funeral Home, 20 Cedar St., Bronxville on Thursday, October 1. Mass of Christian Burial for Anthony, will be celebrated at, St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 23 South High Street, Mount Vernon, NY, on Friday, October 2 at 10:00AM. Anthony will be laid to rest at the Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale. Memorial donations may be made to Turtle Power for James, 3175 NW 114 Lane, Coral Springs FL 33065.
