Judy Hanrahan, age 69, at Lawrence Hospital, Bronxville, NY. Born in Boston MA. She valiantly survived a liver transplant in 2019 and fought bravely to overcome myeloid leukemia, to which she succumbed on December 12,2021. Beloved wife, for 32 years, of the late William (Bill) H. Hanarahan and loving daughter, of the late Charles and Mary Simmons. Devoted sister of Charles P. Simmons, Jr. (Maureen) and wonderful aunt to Jennifer (Tom) Byrne, Julianne (Sean) McVicker, Kimberly (Brendan) Pier and Kristine Grace Simmons. Great aunt to Brayden, Tyler and Luke McVicker as well as Charles and Peter Byrne. Sister-in-law to Eileen (Angie) Hanrahan, Maureen (Tom) Woods and Thomas (Amy) Hanrahan. Aunt of John (Carmela) Woods, Joanne, Brian (Woonwha) and Suszie. Great aunt to John Carmine, Maria Alina and James. Judy was deeply loved by many and spent many years in the retail industry as an accessory buyer and she always had a keen eye for fashion. With a true flair for design she traveled the world in her youth to find beautiful silken treasures. Judy was a devoted wife to Bill and they enjoyed traveling, especially to Cape Cod until Bills untimely passing from Leukemia. He was the love of her life. A devoted aunt, friend and colleague, Judy always supported her family lovingly and was the life of the party. Caring and generous she always had a helping hand and listening ear and an exquisite eye for design and fashion. Calling hours at the Fred H. McGrath & Son, Funeral Home, Bronxville, between the hours of 9 to 10:30 am Wednesday. Mass of Christian Burial, St. Joseph’s Church, Bronxville, on Wednesday December 15 at 10:45 am.   In lieu of flowers donations may be made to New York Presbyterian Hospital or the Leukemia Foundation.

    My condolences to the family. Judy was a great friend and co-worker. She was always full of life. Always looked fabulous! I will miss her dearly.

    My condolences to Judy’s family. I knew her for many years starting with Lord and Taylor back in the 70’s. I have many fond memories of Judy and her wonderful laugh and upbeat personality. Glad she is at peace and with Bill.
