Guerino, Laurence Alexander December 6, 1963 - January 18, 2021

Laurence Alexander Guerino, 57, suddenly on January 18, 2021 in Bronxville, NY. Laurence was predeceased by his parents Errico and Ursula (Spadaccini) Guerino. Larry is survived by his sister Marisa (Michael) Marcin, his brother Kenneth (Susan) Guerino, nephews Daniel (Alexandra) and Timothy (Analise) Marcin, as well as his beloved Aunt Elaine Soliman, cousins Stephanie Carpentieri and Lorraine Seymour, as well as other loving family members. Larry also is survived by his wealth of friends who were as much his family as those related to him by birth.  Whether friends for decades or someone he just met, Larry cherished each of his friends deeply. There are too many to mention by name, but Larry’s family would like to extend special thanks to Kenny Moran for always being there for Larry, and now for them, even at the worst of times. Although born and raised in suburban Philadelphia, Larry was a Yankee-loving New Yorker through and through. Nothing made him happier than spending a night out on the town with friends, even if it was just to get pizza. A sweet, open and unpretentious man Larry had a childlike optimism and enthusiasm which he shared with and spread to everyone he met. His family, friends, co-workers and even just acquaintances will miss him forever.  Larry found friendship, community and a sense purpose in belonging to his men’s group at the Loft.  Those wishing to honor his memory with a donation may do so at www.loftgaycenter.org. There will be no services at this time, but when it’s safe and responsible to do so a joyous celebration of Larry’s life will be held. Which is just what Larry would have wanted.

Larry was one of a kind. A gentle soul. I will always appreciate the time we spent together . He had his idiosyncrasies but we all loved him. I will always remember the fun we had when he lived with me. A former student of mine came to visit from Ohio. We went Disneyland, My student needed to be in a wheel chair. Larry wheeled her all around the park as I was unable to do. Larry was very thoughtful and would do whatever he could to help a friend in need. I will miss him deeply. Larry’s death has brought many people together whom had never met. I love you Larry . Will miss you deeply. My sincere condolences to Larry’s Brother, Sister, sister-in-law,, aunt and all who heart he touched.
